Denise Ivey Telep has been painting professionally since 1975, attending
Ohio University Fine Arts program, under William Kortlander. Her career began
as an artist to the Interior design trade, creating site specific works, large
commercial murals and faux finishes. For the past 32 years, the artist's work
has enhanced medical, architectural, business and commercial venues with
rich lush color, creative trompe o'leil effects and inspirational custom
canvases.
In 2006, Artist Ivey-Telep began showing private works of art, achieving
interest from galleries with purchases to collections in 5 states and the US
Virgin Islands. Drawing inspiration from the natural world, Ivey-Telep in
intriqued by light and its absence, realism as abstraction and lush color. Her
work is diverse, sometimes surprising, but there is always that characteristic
beautifully appealing color.

This is what I call an Art Solution!
This Custom Table was a hand painted
creation of mine many years ago, and is one
of a kind. When the table was moved by my
client to a feature wall, the art above it was too
stark and contemporary. The addition of color
to create an abstract floral with butterfly,
suited the table which is also a combination of
floral and butterflies hovering over a blue
pond. The great addition of the slat back
chairs ties the "look" together. The client
wanted a lively, welcoming and festive feel,
and this combination definitely achieves that!
Gayle's House!
Trompe l' oeil means "to
trick the eye". It is a level
of realism that showcases
the power of illusion.
There is no window or
view to this customers
neighborhood. It is
painted to look as if this
second floor window looks
out on to her street after a
summer rain. Beloved
Pets and husband's
motorcycle add charm.
This mural is on a large
canvas, so the family was
not disrupted while the
scene was painted.

The owner wanted his love of dogs as the theme for a new school.
Goddard has the finest appreciation of understanding the need for
bright colors and engaging scenes that draw a child in. Each
